u-joints or transmission?

    aftermarket suspension, wheel spacers, air intake
    my truck will go into reverse just fine while backing out of my driveway but when i put it in drive to go, it acts like it wants to go but just revs up! then it kind of sounds like it breaks lose with an awful sound and then starts to go.

    Stuck rear brakes? Will it roll if you put it in neutral and push?

    the fluids fine thats the first thing i checked! and once im going it shifts fine, the problem only occurs when going from park to drive.

    Performance- bored .20 over, Doug Thorely Headers, Magnaflow Exhaust, and K&N cold air intake. Exterior- Trail Gear Solid Axle Swap, ARB compressor, high pinion 4.88 with ARB locker, 4.88 TRD Locker in the rear. Interior- 2 10inch JL W1 subs, Alpine MRX-V70 amp, Alpine type R SPR 17C 6x6 speaker in the back, Focal 165 VR with crossover tweeter up front, and Weather Tech floor mats.
    If the vehicle is moving when you do it, it could be the torque converter. Just one of many options.
