    what model and why.

major reason would be hauling and towing. possibly a diesel? maybe a dually for a gooseneck trailer?

Tundra with a 5.7. Don't like any of the other full size trucks enough to commit the $$, and even then I honestly don't want a full size.

If I were to buy a 3/4 ton, it'd be a Chevy Duramax. For a half ton, I'm torn between a Ford F-150 and the Silverado 1500. I'm not a fan of the Tundra or the Dodge and wouldn't buy the Titan for heavy towing.

If I had to buy a full size strictly for towing. It would be a F350. Only because I used to tow a lot of stuff with my bosses old 1 Tons w/ gooseneck. The single cab w/ a 460 was a beast. it was a horrible ride unloaded though. Fully loaded it got about 8 mpg at 65 MPH. The diesel on the other hand got a lot better fuel mileage. I think it was around 14 loaded. If you are asking, what would you buy in a full size, just to buy one? I couldn't think of a reason to buy one.

A little of this and a little of that.
If you're towing a gooseneck, I'd get a diesel dually. Make & model is up to you. Ford, GM, & Dodge are the only choices unfortunately.

I wish Toyota would build something in the heavy duty diesel truck segment for the U.S/North America market.

I have been torn between a Tundra 5.7 Crewmax and the Ram 2500 cummins and mating an Allison transmission to the motor. If I foresee a lot of towing in my future, I will likely end up with a cummins but at the same time I love the comfort of the crewmax and its power.

I just can't seem to convince myself to get away from the Toyota line. So I guess it's the Tundra DC for me.

I really like the new Tundra. but it may not work.

I actually like the Dodge for a super/heavy duty truck.

I really would like to have a 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi buuuut I love manuals and they only make em in automatic :/
I suppose I'd go with a leveled 2500 Cummins with the 6 speed and 35's

I would say Tundra, however I went the to LA autoshow the other day and I checked out the new ram 1500 with a v6 turbo diesel. All I can say is.. impressive. Enough to sway me away from Toyota? I don't know but it doesn't really matter.
On a side note, I asked one of the Toyota guys there about the possibility of a turbo diesel in a tacoma (I know, its like beating a horse horse.. D4D overseas...) However I was surprised when he told me that Toyota is talking to Cummins?? I don't know if thats total bull****? What do you guys think?
