Hey guys I was hoping to get some guidance in ordering my rear icons for use with the All Pro Expo leaf pack I just ordered. As I understand it I have to custom order them and after having talked to All Pro, Icon, and a couple dealers, I'm having a hard time nailing down the exact specs I should order.

So could anyone with this set up tell me what they ordered? Thanks!

Need to measure your suspension cycling for droop and compression. I just switched from Dakars to Expos and my shock is limiting my down travel.

Down south can hook you up on the custom shocks when you're ready.

Yeah I guess I'm looking for guys' numbers. I have talked to vendors that can custom order them but they want numbers from me so I was hoping someone who'd ordered icons for their expos could tell me their numbers.

I was running the fox 10" 2.0 with resi's when I had the expos. You should be right on with the extended travel shocks icon makes for the rear without having to go the custom route. They have more travel than the stock application. I am switching to Icon over my Fox and just ordered the extended travel rear to go with my 5" Alcan leaf pack.

A 10"-10.5" of travel will be perfect with the expos, you just want to factor in the length of the shock body. Manufacturers will have longer and shorter lengths even though the travel will be 10". Just call SDHQ or Downsouth Motorsports and they can match that up for you.

I have the shocks in stock here. We were the first to order them and stock them. It's a 10.75" travel shock (literally have one on the counter and just checked it). They work great with the 3" expo packs out there. They were a custom build, we just had a lot built =)

I sold out of the 2.5" body versions over the holiday, but I have the 2.0 w/resi in stock and there is a TW discount on them. PM me and I can get you prices on em.

Not a problem. I probably won't get to the install until next weekend but I will post some before pics of the fox's and after pics of the icons.

Ok, I was able to get the front Icon 2.5 Resi's w/selector installed over the weekend and I have to say that the ride has greatly improved for regular daily driving. I have the selector switched to (S) on the resi for now and have noticed the difference from the Fox 2.5 Resi's that i had before. The Fox's weren't bad but were not suited for daily driving IMO. The ride was tighter and didn't absorb the bumps like the Icon's. I did however, like the response I got from the Fox's. The Fox's seemed to really hug the corners and gave fantastic control. I haven't played with the selector tuning on the Icon's but will adjust the selector to tune in the suspension a little better. I really like how it absorbs the bumps, but I have noticed that you do get a bit more wandering and bump steer on the (S) Stock setting, it is not bad though by any means.

I haven't installed the rear Icon 2.5 w/resi's yet. I measured the travel on them and I don't believe that they are going to work for my application. I need to get a longer shock. I can see them working with the All Pro Expo pack but not with my 5" Alcan Leaf pack. I need to give SDHQ a call and ask about exchanging them out for a custom length.

    Pics to come...
