A word from the wise. Take the important things to you on your digital devices and UPLOAD them to the internet somewhere. Cloud storage. I can't tell you how many times I have had to tell a person that lost an item or had a computer take a dump beyond recovery that it is GONE and nothing to be done about it.

My AR build so far, I buy things when I can afford them and have a good deal on them

    Anderson lower
    FDE magpul moe furniture
    PSA lower parts kit
    PSA BCG
2 c products mags (they were cheap)
And a leupold mark AR and mount (paid 275 for it, woot!)

I am gonna go with a faux dissipator upper like the one palmetto had on their cyber Monday sale (I am kicking myself for not checking it the minute I woke up lol, it was the exact upper I wanted accept wrong color which is easily fixed

Man, I want to build a lightweight all the sudden. Need to spend the $$ on a press, but I may have to sell something to get the ball rolling on a lightweight iron sighted AR now.

Wondering what the best way to get an AR-15 that looks like this, but under $800 if possible. I would guess building it from scratch, but I'm not that great with doing something like that. So what about getting a decent AR-15 and add the tan parts? I like the tan look. Or is there a gun that looks like this that's a good deal? Just need some input. I just put some pieces together on ar15builder.com to give everyone an idea.

The deals last week were your best bet. I'll have an AR built up for around $400 and I could easily make it look like that for under $800 if all you're worried about is a certain look. PSA had stripped lowers for $50, complete uppers for $270 and complete lower parts kits for $80. Swap out the rail, add your favorite optic and you'd have an AR that resembled what you have shown.

That's a really cool looking handguard on that. Looks like it only comes in the pistol length. I would love to find that for a 16" rifle.

Yes you are correct. When I pick my order up today, I will ask if there is future plains to make it longer. :)

I just ordered a SW AR 15 Sport for 620 at budsgunshop.com. Can't beat that even though I noticed Buds also has a police/ems/fire website that offers the gun for 550! Oh well, I'm excited to builder her up! Ordering the cheap Amazon side rails and grip for 40 bucks and I'll be set!

As was stated down below, M&P-15 sport for starters. Less than $700 and $100 in magpul parts and done. Your not gonna be able to do it with the Eotech though.
