I'm curious how it will work. Will they just not show up or will they throw their hats and brooms down and walk out? I'd like to see some of them write the word "UNION" on a piece of cardboard and stand on the tables in McDonalds.

they will hopefully be fired, the employees that dont strike get more hours and OT and new employees hired quickly and it will show them that your job is easily replaceable

and guess what...i dont work at mcdonalds or in the food industry...but im one of those young 20 somethings not making much more than minimum wage going to school. Im not bitching about raising the minimum wage, im not asking for any hand outs. I know how the shit works and how to act as an adult. You work for what you want. simple as that.

So if minimum wage was more of a living wage then you could eliminate some government assistance. , sounds like a win for everybody else , no ?

 

1. Find a roommate (or 2) and act right so you don't get kicked out
2. Eat Ramen, canned green beans, cheap whatever food
3. Ride the bus

You can do all of that and still not sponge off of the government programs that the other 57% fund and still have a small amount of disposable income.

have you forgotten being a youngster? lets say you make 850 a month. shitty appartment split with some people, 300 a month, utilities 150, food,130, gas+insurance 250, 20 bucks left.
