You need to get out more. Several manufacturers over the years have put out diesel-powered shit boxes. The old Jeep Liberty diesel and the F-series diesel are the first 2 that come to mind. The Ford one I'm thinking about is the one that didn't have a turbo, thing was a dog.

 

Power stroke turbo diesel is awesome. Until they start breaking tons of parts. Diesel work isn't cheap..

I want a cummins Tundy!!!! I might have to buy a Titan....

The college girls I knew drove gas-powered Jettas. Never met a college chick yet who drove a diesel by choice...

 

Remember the Oldsmobile diesels from the 80's? The ones that used to snap head bolts for a hobby? Those were pretty terrible.

Anyone remember which dealership Dave works at? I think the SM and/or ASE and/or the Better Business Bureau should have this brought to light because I can't stand people like him.

 

TDI's are trendy now so all the yuppies are driving them. When I was in college, the only diesels on campus were trucks (and because of where I went to college, a lot of them had smoke stacks )

Fortunately, that wasn't a thing yet so, even though they were ridiculous looking, they only blew black smoke when the engine was really working (like a diesel should). The whole smoke tune is just fucking stupid.

He was banned from Balise Subaru. Thought he was working at a Mazda dealership in North Kingstown after working for Flood Ford?

And I remember it was a Mazda dealer. If I'm in a particularly bad mood, I'll read through his posts and find where he says it. Then email the SM the link to a few posts and threads... Mr. Know it all needs to learn a new fucking lesson

 

Same here. College in Western Maine; all diesels were trucks or ancient Mercedes wagons driven (poorly) by the hipsters. I had a lifted Jeep ZJ at that point and they used to look down their noses at me for parking on snowbanks, until they got stuck trying to get out of the parking lots when it was time for the campus plow truck to come through.
I used to cruise the parking lots with the jeep and a tow strap and charge $2 for a pull for the people who didn't want to shovel out of their spots, haha. Pretty girls got pulled for free, of course.
