ZERO! There's a million supplements people will recommend and swear by for pre-workout, during workout, post-workout etc.... Buy the time you're done you'll walk out with $500 in pills and powder.

Just eat a healthy balanced diet, and plenty of it ;) Unless your trying to become a body builder than don't waist your money. IMO and experience.

I know so many people who have asked "what do i take" - the answer is edible food lol I'm sure it's been said in here but diet is 70% of your gain/loss. First lean to control and monitor your diet (modified for your goal), then you can manipulate your workouts.

If you are unfamiliar with "calorie counting" etc... a FREE and easy way to help you organize your food intake is MY FITNESS PAL app. Something like this will help you get started.

Only thing I supplement is protein powder, fish oil, and the occasional pre-workout (once a month) and the occasional creatine cycle

Yup. Proof: when cutting, I don't even work abs. I never work abs. If you do squats and deads, you don't need to work abs. Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym.

    My philosophy 100%

The problem is in our world today people rely on so many OTC pills etc.

When in reality the human body is an amazing machine!!! I'm not saying there's no use for doctors, or you shouldn't get stitches when your head is split open. I'm saying the human body can handle alot, and can adapt to change.

    BTW i'm not a natural-path, i eat cheese!! ;)

Keto diets are not a fad. They are some of the oldest ones out there. They've been called the metabolic diet in the past by a doctor who wrote it in the late 1800s if I remember correctly. When done right, keto diets will help you decrease body fat. But trust me, it takes time and can be a long road as any other diet can be.

Can keto be done forever or is it simply a tool used for cutting?

When I'm serious about cutting I do a strict keto. Currently I do a modified keto diet, where 75-80% of the time I eat less than 30g of carbs a day. But then instead of one refeed day, I may have 2-3. It works for me. Not losing strength, actually getting stronger, and I'm staying leaner throughout the year.

So yes, it can be done for prolonged periods of time. Once you do a keto diet, you'll begin to understand what your body responds to and how to tweak it to make it last long periods of time.
