Sure it's about that, why shouldn't a fan base be proud of their support for their team? There isn't a team in the league that wouldn't boast about that record if they owned it. I imagine it will go back and fort a bit more between us and K.C.

What it's not about it Tom Brady's career stat line. Save that for the debate about the best QB. Every NE fan seems to carry Tom Brady business cards in their pocket and feel the need to whip them out whenever the discussion turns to the NFL.

Best team in the NFL: Tom Brady's career stat line
Best defense in the league: Tom Brady's career stat line
Best hot dog at a stadium: Tom Brady's career stat line
Best tits shown on TV during an NFL broadcast: Tom Brady's career stat line

You're the guy that sees the gathering disperse when he walks up to the water cooler at work.

Now this has awesome written all over it-

12th Man flag to fly high above San Francisco Sunday

The 12th Man will be well represented high above San Francisco Sunday when the Seahawks take on the 49ers at Candlestick Park, thanks to some industrious fans who've raised enough money to fly a banner from a plane before the game.

"There's a lot of us that can't make that game and we wanted to have our presence felt," says lifelong Hawks fan Cedric Morris.

Morris says he and friend Travis Platt launched an online fundraiser to come up with the $1,300 it would cost to hire a plane to tow their banner for about 30 minutes before the game against Seattle's archrival. The huge banner reads "Go Hawks-12."

Morris hopes the banner gets a big rise out of the San Francisco fans.

"Well, they're not going to like it, that's for sure," he laughs.

The banner is timed to fly over as the teams warm up for the game. Morris thinks it'll help pump up the Hawks, and he'd be glad if it bothered at least a few of the 49ers.

"We're going to get a little mental thing with the Niners. Try to beat them before the game even starts."

The banner likely won't get any live TV coverage since it'll fly before the broadcast begins, but Morris says the Associated Press and some Bay Area TV stations plan to cover it.

The campaign has proven so popular, it's raised 141 percent of its goal. So Morris plans to donate everything extra to The Wounded Warrior Project, which supports returning vets.

"We're the 12th Man. We're the greatest fans on earth," he says of the effort.

Luke, there are good points to both sides, I just think SEA vs NE would be an awesome game. I like Wilson, so while it would hurt that my boy lost, I would be happy to see Wilson have that success. Game could go either way IMO, pats have great passing abilities with gronk and minitron, but no running game other than Vereen. SEA has ok passing game, with awesome running game, and unfortunately the pats run defense is similar to swiss cheese, however, our pass defense is legit. It would be an awesome game, thats fa sho. Even if Wilson lost to the Pats, he took your team to the SB in his 2nd year, and has a very long career ahead of him, while Brady is on the backside of his.

BUT, with how big of a clusterfuck the NFC is, the fucking Texans could go to the SB...

It's sad, but it's true. There are Niner fans that don't know how to be good Niner fans. Does this mean anything about the team and how well they play? No. Does this represent all of Niner fans? Absolutely not.

You have to understand the culture in the SF Bay Area though. The area is filled with multiple championships from various major sports teams. So in a sense, some of the fan bases are spoiled from winning.
