    My diffs are definitely supposed to be 75 or 80 w -90 synthetic whatever brand you want (M1 is cheapest)

    I thought the T case was supposed to be engine oil or ATF, not gear oil.

    So my plans changed and I made it home tonight. I only have one of them and it has good rubber I want on it (255/86/16 Interco tire). If you want to pay to have my tire taken off the wheel and put on another wheel I already have you can have the wheel for free. STS usually charges $18.99 for mounting/balancing/stubby valve stem and they are 4 miles from me and about the only place I trust locally. It's up to you. I'm about 11 miles from the Ben Franklin on the NJ side.

    No, but I want to send them the oil I have in my engine now. It's got 1k on it, but would be nice to know if I have catastrophic issues without tearing the head apart.

    Gotta remember I was also running a POS K&N for 75k and those things suck up silica like crazy so I made my changes accordingly. I'm not going to say I never let it go to 7k, but I never made that the norm.

    My truck has never seen water....ever :spy:

    Transfer case does not use engine oil. It has gears inside it and it uses the same gear oil as the differentials. toyota calls for 85w90 but chase from east coast gear supply (who I trust much more than toyota) recommends 90w140 lucas conventional since its thicker and sticks to the gears better. Seeing as toyota has quite a few known differential problems, I'll take his advice.

    oil is still a nice golden brown @ 5k & just getting dirty at 10k
