Thank you Toyota for deploying the side curtain air bags....for this. Not sure how I would have survived without it.

Did it kink your neck? Never had a side bag go on me. I can imagine it swatting the side of your face like Serena Williams smacking a tennis ball...instant kinked neck if not worse.
Do you look like a white trash wife with a red face?

Wow...just going for the low blows today eh?
No...bags didn't touch me. I was literally already shifting gears to get out of the ditch when the bags blew. My ears are ringing...that's it.

No low blows, I really have never had a side air bag go off on me. Front yes, and it damn near broke my nose. Just curious, glad your ok. Stupid delay relay must have kicked in. Probably scared the shit out of you though....I am chuckling at that picture.

Damn, everything would have been pretty minor had the Tundy not decided to turn itself into a bounce-house from hell.

Yeah, wow. Guess the Tundy was leaning enough and the force of trying to pull out (or you shifting in the seat) made them think you tipped a little too far?

From what I understand is that they have to allay the concerns of the general public when they do retrofits. Morgan Hill, I'll use as an example, they had to do several environmental impact studies to even start construction. People were concerned about the blasting and the construction, the changes to cochrane road, steelhead bass and making a fish ladder for them, and how deer come down and mess up folks' gardens when there's a draw down on the reservoir.

A lot of the choices that they end up making are due to pressure from a vastly uneducated and ignorant public. People seem to be more concerned about themselves than the impact of their complaints on something important like expediently retrofitting a damn that could wash their lives away in minutes.
