    I heard something today that made sense. NYR has probably a 4-5 year window to win the Cup (Nash is signed that long amongst some other guys). Henrik wouldn't never accept a 4-5 yr deal right? Dude wanted security of a term and the Rangers couldn't just let him walk to another team like the Isles (BGRs REAL team). So the Rangers were handcuffed here in a sense right? If he's awful in the last few years of his contract they won't be able to move him, they'll just buy him out. And they can because they have money!

    I agree it's a lot of money/term but Slats painted himself into another corner. Cap should go up next year especially with the Rogers tv deal so the Rangers should have the space.
