To note on the previous page. I would want....

Racekor - Probably an e92 m3 or a year or 2 newer *than mine* S4 so like, 02-03
Wheeler - SAS'd toyota something. Not too extreme to where nothing is a challenge though.
Tow rig - 06-07 Powerstroke. Lifted on 37's to brodoze around and still beat people in a race with a simple chip
DD - My current car, I love those things. And it still gets 25-30 mpg.

And of course, if Im not too terribly poor by then haha. A boat, 5th wheel with a garage thing for riding, and a sled.

I have deavers on the duramax, 6" lift spring over axle but they look just like the deaver H70's I used to run spring under on the taco. I tow a 28' travel trailer all the time. They do sag a lot under heavy load, like when I put my bike in the bed with camping gear and the trailer on the ball, but ride great! Of course, when it's unloaded they flex great...like any other deaver...

 

After reading this convo, I agree that Monte made a good choice buying a second Tacoma. He lives in a different situation going to school in a different state and all so he cant have Frank all the way over there but still wants a truck for the things he would use Frank for. Makes sense to me.

That kit isn't any more expensive than any more than 2nd gen LT kits (I don't know pricing 1st gen kits). Most kits don't include C/O's and bypasses if they did they would cost close to $8K as well. Hell a pair of C/O's is around $1500 new and bypasses about $1000 each or more so you are up to $3500 in shocks alone that you would spent on any kit if you go with both.

 

so if my plan came to fruition, the front would be bad ass...

and the rear would blow haha.

Which pretty much means the front would suck too... you can't really take advantage of the front without a good rear because you will do a front flip or half of one and land on your nose or top...

I think that is partly why I got away with 5100's so long. My rear bucks on small speed bumps... let alone real whoops.

 

Yes I know that's what I'm saying. The front would be bad ass but I couldn't use it
