I think it looks awesome. Kind of surprised by the independent rear suspension. The solid rear axle has always been one of the hallmarks of the pony car. But, I'm sure the IRS will provide much better handling. Lots of cool technology in it, it looks like. It will definitely be polarizing between those who are old-school and those who embrace new technology.

I think it looks good , fords just keeping up with the times . Changes are nice .

I just hope they went with a better manual transmission this time around . The 2011,12,13 were a nightmare . Made in China aswell.

i like it. I hope to get me a GT at some point in my life (in addition to the taco of course!) I think it was a nice transition from the last gens (which i love, cant make em forever tho). Though i couldnt help but notice the front end looks just like a ~2010 honda accord coupe:rolleyes: As long as they dont go back to the mid 90's or the mid/late 70's style its all good :puke: :puke:

I'm not crazy about it. I think it will be an improvement based on performance, ride, comfort, etc., but IMO, the styling of the 2013-2014 5.0 was a perfect blend of classic lines and new look. The 2015 is a little too modern/European for me. The front reminds me of an Aston Martin/Ford Fusion, and the lines just aren't sharp enough for me. I was planning to get a 2015 5.0 6 speed at some point in the distant future to match my '65, so I'd have the 1st and the 50th, but now I'm debating picking up a 2014 when that time comes.

I do think it will be a great seller, and that 4 cylinder turbo will be a big reason why. Still...a Mustang with anything but a V8 is a sin to me.

they were going for the european look as this will be the first mustang to be sold worldwide. Ford is just adapting and changing with the times. I like the new look, its time for a change and the 2015 is def a change

According to Ford, they apparently didn't design it for Europe. They just plan on taking it over there: "We designed this Mustang to be a Mustang, to be the next generation update of everything important, and then take it global," Dave Pericak, Ford Mustang chief engineer, told Yahoo. "We didn't decide to do a global Mustang, because that would be a different product."

If that's the case, I think they failed. They DID make it look too European. I tend to actually agree with them that they don't need to design it to look European because buyers over there love the Mustang for the same reasons we do: it's a mean, unruly (solid axle), traditional American muscle car with a V8. If they just offer it for sale in Europe it will sell, they don't have to cater it to them stylistically. It's the same reason people love JDM or Euro-tuner stuff over here...it's different than what we see every day. I just think the people in Europe/China would have loved to have the option to buy a more traditionally American-styled Mustang than this one.

    THIS is a Mustang:

    IMG_0068_107192ba4eeacb872eeb83e6946f93ea9919e795.jpg

    And, so is this (IMO):

    01-2013-ford-mustang-gt-review_815d4649bb0054acba8f434eeba6113a34f9047e.jpg

The new car is just too European sports car for me, is all I'm saying.

I understand why people dont like the new look. But you have to understand that ford is going with the times and the old muscle car look is on its way out, and I really hate to admit that. But i'm sure the new stang will still be a beast on the road and hopefully it will be even more competitive on the track. I can't wait to test drive one of these and hope ford sells the hell out of them.

and it'll rape any stock camaro or challenger any day of the week.

Well, there's something we can agree on. Camaro is OK, Challenger is an overweight and slow cruiser...but the Mustang is the best of the 3.

Already stated why I hated derpstangs, does it look good? Obvisouly, and it's probably the best design by far but that won't stop teenagers from thinking they own the road when they get behind the wheel of one. The turbo'd 4 banger is all the more reason for them to buy one now.

Is this a brand new one or just a facelift? I just spent a month driving the current mustang as a rental and can't say i miss it. The current one drives like a big car yet it's cramped inside, the center console layout is terrible, worst blindspots ever, and even though I had the v6 it certainly drank fuel like the Tacoma. The steering wheel needs to go asap and the interior lighting is tacky, and the 'retro' touches need to go as wheel.

And for me, it's time Ford stopped riding the retro design and came up with something fresh. I like the direction the new Mustang is going. Now some younger buyer looking at imports (Genesis Coupe, 370Z, FR-S) may cross-shop the Mustang.

The problem with retro designs is they often don't appeal to younger buyers. For example, if you are under 40, the Dodge Challenger means nothing.
