When I get a rear bumper for my reg cab I'd like to have a bumper mounted spare tire carrier. My thoughts are that since I will be running 265/75 tires it may look too small. Any members have this setup? I like the idea of getting the spare out from under the truck since sometimes it may be tough to get to while offroad. It would also help carry two spares on long trips. I'll be getting a leer cap so bed space is limited.

Put 2 jerry cans or a gear box next to it to fill in the space. Maybe a good spot to put recovery gear or road side emergency kit.

It will not look too small. Plus it gets it out from under the truck.

Now I just need to find my options that aren't high clearance.

CBI gets my vote. Their customer service is top notch and their products are bad ass.

Might as well go high clearance if you're going to get the rear bumper. You will regret it later.

    this....

I have a regular bumper and I'm always dragging ass everywhere.

If you want to see what a 265/70/17 looks like mounted on a bumper look at my pics in the beginning of my album.

You may want to contact to inquire. Sometimes they will have it already but generally they're made to order from what it seems like. I had to wait about 6 weeks for mine to be built.

I may go high clearance but since it's a regular cab I haven't drug the bumper on anything yet. Not sure how I feel about cutting up a fairly new truck.

Cut it. I did mine when the truck was 8 months old. High clearance is one of the best things I ever did to my truck.
Wait time is usually 4-6 weeks and shipping normally takes 4-7 days depending where you are and weather.
