So how's Colorado treating you guys? Its been 8 years that I've been in Arizona.

I'm currently in Alaska, warmer here than it is down there. Though it was negative 15 last week, 21 degrees last night during my cold weather training sleeping in an improvised snow shelter and tent. Little chilly outside my sleeping bag

 

Bit more than half actually.. I'm sad to say it also. Its surprising how bad I am with cold now

Anyone going skiing/snowboarding this sunday?

 

i'll be heading up sunday somewhere...

i need to get my uphill legs under me so i may take the split up loveland or abasin..depends on how much loveland has open above the lower lifts..otherwise i'll be heading to abasin (i haz pass there)

I am gonna try abasin. I am new to CO so this is my first trip to the mountains this season.

 

if you see me having a beer by my truck, swing by and say hi...i should be up front if i make it there to skin up...gotta get there early to get uphill in before the lifts turn..

 

I like beer...haha i will watch for your taco. Your gonna get there early and hike it before the lifts open? what time is that at?

 

you can skin uphill (skis or splitboard, i have a splitboard) before the lifts turn...later in the season you can skin up during operating hours on the side of the trail too..good way to get in shape for backcountry touring

 

Does anyone know about the new " no lead ammo" law?

 

hahaha been there done that and I'm not even in the military! Camped up by bill moore and it was 18 before the sun even went down.....almost all the beer froze that night
