    Hey guys, I have a NOS universal kit begging to be installed but I'm worried about the timing.
    I don't want to pull timing and I want to run a 75 shot.
    I know how to install everything and I don't need help with it but my question is.

    Can I run a 75shot with stock timing without hurting anything?
    It will be used once and a while.

    I don't know what that 75 shot means, but I am going to say this is a big no.

    Wet kit or dry kit? The 5vz is a pretty stout motor. If it's a wet kit and you run premium fuel it'll probably hold together for a while.

    You do realize that even by adding a 75 shot of Nitrous Oxide to a puny 190 HP V6 truck weighing in at 3,400 lbs is still going to be slower than your average rental vehicle from Enterprise right?

    It's a truck man, not a sports car.

    Eh, if it's done right it should last. Should, anyway. 5vz's are making 300whp w/turbo without complaining. Sometimes more.

    Well it could be interesting, I would suggest valving it and doing a writeup so we could all learn that A: Is it possible. and B: Exactly how much is too much.

    I ran a 100 wet shot on my 95 5l stang... that being said I only ran it one time then realised that supercharged was the way to go... why have 100hp for 3 seconds when yoy can have 100hp constant.

    Heh you're not going to bed 5vz rods with a 75 shot..you do realize that's about as much power as you'd make with a TRD SC and URD fuel kit?

    If its a wet kit it should be fine... depending on how the truck runs to start with.

    Dry kit bye bye pistons ... seriouslu don't know whu they even sell them.

    Dry kit goes into the intake and gets sucked in that way.

    Wet kits attaches to the injection system adds fuel with nitrous. To give you a more tuneable and
    Safer way to inject.

    It's a wet kit, I know the motor it's self can handle a 100 shot for a long period of time because there is a local that has been spraying his stock 5vz-fe for four years now BUT he runs mixed 110 octane and has the proper timing pulled from the engine
    My question is, can I run even a 50 or 75 shot without pulling timing?
