You could leave the top bolted up, drop the lower control arm and spin it. Just not sure if you can do it pressurized, try it I want to know if it works shouldn't take much time.

I'm debating it. haha I can droop the LCA about an 1/8" lower than the shock is all though so it might be tight... I just went out and let a tiny bit of air out of each side, but since I have no gauge or way to fill them back up yet, I was nervous to do very much.

Been running the ORI's with 5 3/4" of chrome showing they ride awesome, CV's and control arms are almost flat and its pretty consistent on ride height even with temps going to -18 at night. I need more lift though tires are rubbing the frame at full lock and the rear of the truck is 3" higher with the new springs and shackle flip.

Going to go with spacers and limit straps then?

Spaced the front 1/2" today and set the ORI's with 6" of chrome showing. Got the ride height about perfect its really plush but responsive. It has a slight bind about a 1/4" from full extension but I think I have a good spot to locate a limit strap.

Nice! So since you had the gauge on them, did you notice a pressure difference when it got real cold the last couple days? I've noticed I have had a lot more body roll the last couple days, so I was thinking the 50+ degree drop in temp caused a pressure drop. I'm pretty sure I have a slight rake now as well whereas I had a slight bro-lean going on before.

On pressure chambers that small I can guarentee you've had a large pressure loss.

Nitrogen has a somewhat small thermal expansion coefficient and wouldn't a bigger chamber show more pressure loss than a small chamber since there would be more N2 to shrink in the cold?

My guess though, is that given the extremely high pressures (700+ psi) compared to a tire (less than 50 psi usually) that the changes will be larger. Basically a 5% drop at 50 psi is 47.5 psi and a 5% drop at 700 psi is 665 psi.

I did some googling and using Gay-Lussac's Gas law: P1 / T1 = P2 / T2 (you have to convert your temps to Kelvin to use it, but pressures can stay in psi I think)

I had P1 at 700psi and T1 at 55F (it was about that when I lowered the ride height on Sunday or Monday) and T2 I set at 0F since it has been floating around that in the morning and night when I drive to and from campus. I got a new pressure of 625 psi so a 75 psi loss!

There is a difference with the temps for sure, I saw a 1/4" less chrome when the temp dropped. It was cold today about 10* when I charged them set the uppers at 800/820. I'll be watching to see what they do as it warms up and cools off. I haven't been checking pressures just measuring, they are staying consistent side to side moving almost equal distances with the temp fluctuations. The other thing I have noticed with cold weather is the seals are really sticky if I just try to bounce it but if I'm driving they move freely.

I don't know the exact physics behind it without thinking too hard but I use two significantly different size N2 accumulators at work. The small ones are the ones that we are always chasing to keep within our psi limitations.

Odd. I wonder if it has to do with cooling faster from using it.

Finished Marty's truck today, it has my old lift, control arms and 285/75r17 Toyo AT's. He's stoked on it and less parts to deal with when we move at the end of the month.

Just closer to town, sweet little cabin reminds me of the place I had in Fairbanks.

Nice! except for maybe that closer to town part... I dream of living out in the middle of nowhere with the closest neighbors being like a mile away or more!

    I've got a CVT.

It's a tent that sets up in seconds and keeps you off the ground.

Not much more to tell.

The CVT is a great product though - very happy with mine.

I spent a night in it at 27* back in October and was snug as a bug in a rug.

There you are I was just going to link this to you. haha

My understanding is that most of them are pretty much the same tent with just different brand names slapped on them or did you guys decide that isn't true?
