I make just over $15 an hour and I rappel out of helicopters for a job. However with that being said I do support a higher minimum wage. $15 may be a bit high for fast food, but paying people 8.00 an hour leads people to apply for government assistance programs.

"Certain People" definition is in the statement you quoted. Please read more carefully. The statement you quoted from myself only addressed your implied notion we dont care about our citizens. Do try to keep up with the conversation.

I'm just going to mention that while I support a little increase in minimum wage, I do think if folks wouldn't try to live outside of their means, they would not feel so exhausted financially at the end of the month. I mean just because your best friend has the newest ipad, and pair of air max does not mean you need to go and get them just to compensate.

 

I supppose I read more into what you wrote. However, we're not talking about helping the folks on TW, we're talking about people who don't make as much in a year as a Tacoma costs.
