nothing wrong with companies making a profit. its what they are there for. the UAW has screwed the auto industry for years because of their pensions and health care being so god damn rediculous its not funny. and i know the ceo's havent help their situation out. hell, toyota pretty much wont hire any union workers and they seem to have one of the best work enviroments in this country. my cousin used to work for them and was taken very could care of by them.

unions are not needed in this day and age. end of story. everything that is in place now pretty much can not be reversed becuase of law. not becuase unions are keeping it that way

This is what unions have done.

Example....Dave quits at 5pm on a friday after 8hours and mandatory hour lunch break. The company he works for needs to ship product to a company by saturday to meet a special need, to help build the business. Management can't fill in for dave because the union will file a grievance for lost wages. Since Dave would not stay a little longer, the delivery is not made, and the customer will take his business elsewhere. Dave doesnt care because he has a union to protect him. Company suffers loss of revenue. Dave still gets his mandatory raise even though the company cant afford it.
It's not the 1920's. We have labor laws now to protect workers. Unions are not needed anymore.

Here is my point...pay people what they are worth....no more no ...less ...a person is only worth what the put out. As a carpenter I put my name on everything I built..or touched...did you?
