Broken Lojack Alarm Button on 2005 Tacoma Acces Cab

I did try to search but nothing came up. I drive a 2005 Toyota Tacoma pre-runner access cab. About two nights ago I was trying to push the button on my lojack alarm in to arm it that way it can let out an audible alarm if it is tampered with and it just fell back into the dash. The button is located just to the right of the fog light switch. Now my question is how do you detach the lower gray colored part of the dash under the steering wheel to reach it and push it back through the hole?

And excuse the quality of the pics, but it was taken from my cell phone in a pretty dark garage. The first pic is off where the button is supposed to stick out.
The second pic is of how the button is now in the hole in the dash.
And the last pic is of the grey part of the dash i want to remove in order to reach the button so i can push it back through the hole.

 

1) LoJack isn't an arm able system. It just sits there until activated by the company.
2) Your pictures just make it look like an LED.. is it really a button?

In order to get at the upper dash, you have to take almost all of it off the truck.

 

Actually it is a button that sticks out maybe an inch. I know its hard to see due to the poor resolution and to the fact that it now has fallen back into the dash. You push it once to turn it on or off for different modes of the alarm.What i meant by arming the system is if the button is pressed and the light is on steady like it is now then when i lock the doors it doesn't make a beep of the horn. Which is good for coming in or leaving late at night so that neighbors don't hear a beep for locking the doors or two beeps back to back for unlocking the door. But when you press the button again the light goes off and blinks every few seconds enabling the beep sounds to occur.

And i don't want to remove the top part of the dash, but the bottom part under the steering wheel where it is a lighter color grey. It's been almost four years but i think that is how the guy who installed it did when he installed the lo jack system. The actual button itself just fell back behind the hole when i pressed it and all i need to do is go up under the dash and push it back out. But when i looked under the dash or on the side where the door usually sits at i didn't see any screws to undue in order to take it down

under the bottom 3 buttons there is a storage compartment which pulls out.

You can remove the door/compartment by opening it and pulling it out. Then you can reach in there and find your wires. Those black blanks for the unused buttons just push out from behind.

 

Thankyou. Are you referring to the compartment that opens up under the power window switch and serves as a coin holder?

Sorry. Not paying attention to what i was typing. Meant to say power mirror switch lol. When i get off work today i will pull it out and see. I will report back soon and thanyou once again..
