    Alright boys my mind is at it again :rolleyes: How hard/feasible would it be to convert my truck to a 6spd? That's really the only reason I am considering getting a different truck. If I did this I would be going all out. FJ twin stick, crawl box, regear, lockers... I don't really think it would be hard at all. Obviously get a trans, linkage, and computer from a manual truck and put them in mine. I will preface this with that I don't want to get a different truck ie DCSB instead of DCLB. I really like the LB and want to keep it.

    I'm pretty sure that there's a reason why Toyota did not make a manual trans DCLB...

    But you keep on bringing up these schemes Nick, we'll gladly offer up opinions. ;)

    Its not that it can't be done. Its just with all the technology in newer vehicles its harder to do that kind of swap versus say a 1970 mustang

    Right. 6500# tow cap minus add ons. Say 6k. Trailer=1000 another truck on it= 4000. so 5k total. I've towed 5500 a couple times and that's a lot for a truck this size. I'll just buy a DD, maybe a Corolla or TC and play with the truck and have a truck when I need it.
