    I got halos bright as shit. Tested them to make sure they work. No to figure out how to mount them

    I guess I'll try painting first. The Halos from TRS are beyond top notch.

    Ant, which part do I paint? I'm guessing take the solenoid off and then paint everything? including the little piece that the solenoid moves?

    DO I have to paint the back of the shield too?

    you got it! I'd paint the springs and the black plastic part that sticks up to the shield too. Just make sure you check the function of the highbeams after all said and done, before you seal it all up.


    the back of the shield does not need painting.

    To test high beams you just connect everything just with the projector and not in the housing

    I'm confused now. You mean the solenoid? I've read you aren't supposed to paint that and I asked on HIDP too.

    Why should I be checking the fxn of the high beams? These are going in my low beams.

    For us taco guys we use bixenon bulbs with hi/ lo function. We check to make sure the hi beam isn't sticking

    taco problems.. I only have a low beam. Wait, does that mean that I don't need to wire the solenoid to anything? I guess it's not going to be used at all... ? :confused::confused::confused:

    you have the option to run quad high beams :D.. you'll need highbeam splitters though.. TRS sells them

    Or you can opt out on using your OEM highbeams and just wire up your mini H1 for bi-xenon.

    You mean I can get a high beam splitter and then get a hi/lo H1 bulb and use that instead of my reflector high beam?

    to test the high beams, all you really need to do is connect the black and red wires to a 9v (square) battery

    do it about 30 times

    Ya.

    I'm confused though. I asked ant in a PM but figured I'll post here too so everyone can see the answer. Do the HB wires just go the solenoid (projector wires) and the LB wires go to the bulb?? WHy would I need the splitter doodad?

    ETA supposedly the splitter keeps the LB's illuminated? I don't know if that makes sense. My LB & HB always go on together

    I think the splitter is so you can use the h1 as a hi beam not just a low beam. I mean that was your plan, was to use the h1 for your low beam on you headlights?
