Just get OEMs, everyone claims this or that, just get the tried and true replacements.

OEM, they're relatively inexpensive for a stealership item. might get lucky on ebay as well.

There have been recent reports posted that installing Iridium plugs (instead of standard) reduces or eliminates pre-ignition pinging.

OEM from the dealership for around $4 each. They will be Denso plugs.

the motors will have one side in NGK's and one in denso's due to agreements with both parties and toyota..

That stated NGK makes a MUCH better product, spent the extra and get them. You should see the differences between the NGK's and denso dual ground plugs in the 3.4L v6... the denso'd gap becomes huge ... NGK's looks hardly used.

I found the exact opposite when I changed my plugs at 31k on my 2011. The NGK were gapped to .047 while the Denso's were gapped at .043. The factory replacement plugs you get at the dealership will be Denso's.

    NGK's don't hold a gap on the 3.4's either.

    Stock for now...
Just put a set of NGK iridium plugs in my '08 @21K , the Denso plugs were junk already .
Runs a whole lot better cold and seems better throttle response overall .

You can mention it. It wouldn't hurt anything. If you buy the plugs from the dealer they "should" be pre-gapped. All but one of mine were so you would still need to check them.

I just changed my denso plugs, and the truck idle's super smooth. Before that, during idle it was a bit rough. Old denso's electrode was really worn out. Made a huge difference with new denso plugs. Cheap maintenance!!
