To be honest....save the money for something worth while. Your stock intake is already taking in cold air and open filter engine compartment type "CAI's" take in warm engine bay air. The gain from an intake is minimal if any and you are better off spending the 200+ bucks elsewhere. Just my .02 bud.

An air filter would be your best option....some like K&N others don't....I like them but they have their purpose...in very dusty conditions I would go with a Dry flow filter like AEM or Pro dry s

I had an afe dry filter before my airaid. Seemed like a waste of money. Got no complaints about my
airaid CAI. Intake temps are lower then my stock box. Faster throttle response and much better sound along with the increase in power.

I've realized from the countless intake threads I've read that most people who have them love them while
The people who don't bash them even though they have no personal experience themselves.

Keep in mind my review of the airaid cai is from my own supercharged truck. No doubt it increased performance.

    ^^This^^

If your truck has a S/C on it you will benefit from a CAI. If not you won't notice much if any gains. Like others have said... Your truck essentially has a CAI installed on it. Save the money for something else.

I agree to everything you said except for the stock CAI, since the stock air box is sitting on top of a hot engine. :p
