So I've been really thinking of bringing my 4runner back down to stockish (32's and 1" lift) and selling my lift/tires. Then use that money and buy a 1st gen 4runner to build/wheel. If I sell my lift and some wheeling parts, I probably could afford a cheap 1st gen. I just hate wheeling my DD since I don't want to go crazy modding while dealing with shitty gas mileage, lack of power and the fear I won't have it for the work week which is mandatory. I figure a second vehicle on the bare minimum insurance won't cost much and will allow me to take my time building/repair. What are your guys thoughts?

    Haha that's the attitude!

I can't afford a DD right now and my Fiance would murder me for getting a different car to drive since I put her through hell getting this one. Also my 4runner has too much value to be beating it up on the trail. I'd rather have a 1k 4runner that I don't care if I smash the quarter panel than my 8K 4runner that will lose a significant resell value for. Also I need my 4runner for winter trips and summer trips, so it needs to be in good running condition to make it up to the snow/mountains. If I wheeled it, then it wouldn't be as reliable and parts are more expensive for 3rd gens than 1st. Also I freaking love 1st gens and miss my old 87. :D

But she would kill you all the same if you sold the lift and bought something else-no different than buying a different DD. Either way, you're spending money. Right?

Haha that's the tricky part. Although she hates my 4runner lifted and I wouldn't be working on my main vehicle. She's finally beginning to realize this is my passion and the only thing I spend money and time on.

I forgot to reduce the video quality so I only got about half the storm before the GoPro ran out of memory. Nonetheless, here's 7 hours worth of the storm speed up to 25 seconds.
