I'm thinking about getting an Apple. Looking at Best Buy online right now. Any recommendations?

didn't cost me anything, I wish I had returned it though and bought a better computer online for less.

And I think buying an Apple computer is pointless, sure there cool but they are overpriced and useless to me. Besides, in engineering you have to run Windows on your mac if you have one.

yeah, I recommend not buying from bestbuy online or in store. Buy from the manufacturer and get a student discount if you can. You'll probably have to "buy one for your sister" and get the ECU discount.

If you think your gonna get an Apple for less than $1200...lol

hmm? not going to get the newest model. Can't afford that. There's tons of MacBooks for under the $650-$700 price range. I'm just trying to narrow it down to which one.

Well not all of them are refurbished, but majority are. I'm kind of weary on buying it used on ebay unless there's a warranty of some kind for just in case. I'm thinking i'm going to go with MacBook Pro.

What are the cons of an older model? Less features?

Airs are like netbooks.... good for papers and storing stuff but useless for anything else. I used to run dual booting systems on my Mac and it was cool but windows blows fat cock so I got rid of that.

So MacBook Pro seems like the one to get? What's the problem with buying an (older model) one? Besides maybe less features?

Well you might want to look at the seller reviews on those refurb models. Do some research before you blow your money.

(Bestbuy aint the one sellin them bud)

Yeah, I know that. But they're listed on the website, which is what I was referring to. I know the referb models were sent back and repaired for a dysfunctional part; but as long as they come with a warranty and work fine I don't see what would be wrong with purchasing one of them.

If they work fine then the only thing you will be missing out on is the newest hardware.
