    You can fab them out of a hunk of plate steel using: grinder w/cutoff wheel, drill and steel bits. Then weld them up. Paint. Have fun.

    Backing plates are just angle iron and the gussets are just a triangled piece of plate steel. If you find a good shop, they shouldn't be expensive at all, the cost would be having someone weld it all together for you.

    I've got an Ultra Gauge for sale. It's my dad's but he traded his truck and doesn't need it anymore. It's about 2 years old and is just the gauge, no suction cup mount. It works great, no issues with it. They're $61 on UG's website after a mail in rebate for the same setup, will sell for $50 OBO.
