Well if this voice thing is true and only on newer ones then I am glad I will be getting a free update in January.

And for those of you that have problems or don't like it make sure you document it with the dealer that the navi does not work very well. Then you might be able to get a free software upgrade for free like me.

    Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

For voice training, Apps - set up - voice - train voice recognition.

I haven't read through the entire thread I just noticed your post. Have you had trouble with the Nav on yours? Just curious.. I'm pretty happy with mine.

Which Kenwood unit has been mentioned here as an aftermarket alternative to the factory Nav? TIA.

im liking the xm radio, never had it before and only radio station i ever heard off from there is shade 45.... can i make different radio station list? (one for fm, one for xm) .. as of right now i have one list with both radio stations:fm ( some i programmed by mistake that i want to erase) and some xm stations

    Mine sucks butt!

The software does not understand how addresses work around here so it is all messed up.

But when I first had it I would search in SLC, Utah for an address by voice and it would search in Puerto Rico or Florida. Even after the updates the voice only works half the time.

Even after multiple updates and hard drive replacement it sucks compared to a garmin software based unit.

Well that sucks. I've been pretty happy with mine. It has taken me pretty much wherever I tell it too.

You can store the stations on the screen in your presets by holding the preset you want down once your on your favorite station

Ditto.... I know how to set one by going to the station you want and just holding down the button, but how do you get rid of them??

only way to get rid of them is to overwrite them with a new station.

you cant go back to factory settings for blank presets, unless i think you pull the battery and/or reset the head unit.

even then i dont think a battery pull will reset them.

You need to go into the settings and see what it has set as its "home" place or state, mine was set out of state on my truck and didn't recognize CA address, once I set it to my state, it worked great.

I have recently been looking up my Nav maps and the CD at the last dealer I checked was $180 their price. I Know you can get the Nav DVD's on Ebay for $50 or less and I'm thinking about doing it. If I find a way to get the discs cheaper I will keep you all informed.

Yeah, that's a new feature. I checked mine and my 2012 Entune doesn't have it. I really wish they'd put out a software update so we're all on the same software.

    Oh they have one alright.

    BUT it is $280.

And only able to be installed by the dealer.

But like I said just complain to the dealer that yours sucks even if it doesn't. Then you might be able to get a free $280 update like I will in January.:D

I set up Voice command in my 2014 AC Base model 2wd. There's not even a "voice switch" on the steering wheel for it, so it really does nothing. It lets you do all this stuff anyaway, so I'm guessing the wiring is already there for SWC and I have to find/buy switches and install them. The bluetooth works fine, and while training, the Voice stuff works like I would expect. There's just no way to use it unless you have the Steering wheel mounted controls. I'm looking into that already.

I recently purchased my 2014 Toyota Tacoma, about a month ago now. My largest complaint so far is the whole Entune system. I have had so many connectivity problem, and in general, just can't believe how bad the system functions. For starters, my Honda Odyssey from 2005 had a more intuitive user interface. I could go on and on about the various features that just don't work. This is not right considering the additional fees I paid for these features to work.

Does anyone have suggestions on how we can give this feedback directly to Toyota and help them improve this product for all of us and for future buyers?
