    .
Another point about the halogens/HIDs as opposed to LEDs is that with the spots you have a lot more control on where you put the light. I found that there is enough bleed side to side with the four spots to cover everything down the road I want and not just blast light everywhere which is an issue with road signs.

About time you put a bunch of pics up of your full set up. I've been waiting for them. :D:D I like the trasharoo set up with the snow shoes.
And I'm def a fan of quality over quantity of gear. Like if you have a good tool than can be used for one than one purpose instead of having every piece of gear under the sun.

Just picked one up for an early Xmas present I will be running it off of a larger bottle instead of the small green ones. Can't wait to see how good it works.

you have anymore pics of the set up, cause I got all of the adapter pieces when I picked up mine. Just looking for better ideas oh how other people use them.

so are those replacement sliders for the ones you had? Or you just adding on to the old ones?

I guess its been a problem with a lot of their lights, which ones are/were you running? I've been very happy with my 6D-4", but then again, its mounted inside my snug-top...

ooo...that my friend would be a VERY impressive feat.

You'd need to be very good at working with fiberglass i think to really do it. But i guess it could be possible.

Id use a high rise topper and try to do one like a wildernest. But going to be very trick to keep it water tight for the topper and the tent. Then as you said, keeping it structurally sound.

be pretty dang expensive investment i think but if you have the TIME and MONEY. you could make it happen im sure of it.

yea cause it wasn't designed to..im sure there would be some big issues you'd have to address for a hinge. Then you have to design poles for it and all the canvas..be pretty pricey id think.

plus having to cut up the topper..haha

over all..id just keep looking for a wildernest and re canvas it..

    Seriously.

There was one that went for $0 in the "Free Stuff" section of Craigslist Seattle a few months ago.

I shit you not. Excellent condition.

I called and was literally 5 minutes late. Someone swooped on it after ten minutes of the ad being active...

That was a definite "Godddamnnit!!!" moment.

Hey all, will be posting this in the Dual Battery thread and a few other places also. But I wanted to get Some opinions from the heads in this thread first.

Most people end up with a Dual Battery system of some sorts. The National Luna system is NICE but has a HUGE paddle dongle to monitor it all. What if it was all contained in a switch? Similar to all the others we get and install. No more worrying about placement, just put it in a switch opening.

Basing this off the Blue Sea ACR - Automatic Charging Relay, and the SPDT Switch. Then integrating the National Luna type tech and dual voltage gauges into it. The peizio alarm would be in there also.

    Whatcha think?

Here is the basic Idea/ My Theory ->

Hmmm id think you could wire the switch to the solenoid..don't see why not. The middle one that is.

How much is that thing? I'd love to get an automated switch now instead of all manual.

Can't find the switch..but looking at Blue Seas battery relays im not impressed. only 120amp continuous..thats weak..the m-ACR is only 65 amps..thats not gonna work well either for winching..

The switch is from Blue Sea Comes in this kit, http://www.bluesea.com/products/762...rging_Relay_with_Manual_Control_-_12V_DC_500A , or sold seperately, http://www.bluesea.com/products/2146/SPDT_Remote_Control_Contura_Switch_-_ON-OFF-ON....

On their system, Blue Sea, they have a set of 6 wires out for control of the smart solenoid. relay.

The switch in the middle is just my mock up using my lacking photoshop skills. I just cropped and pasted.

HOWEVER, tech today is able to be made small enough to fit internally to do as I want. Using SMD conductors and SMD LED's this is do able.

Might decide to market these if I can get it manufactured for me in quality.

    ahhh didn't see this kit.

that relay looks like it would work great. Gonna be huge though. my 500 amp one is big and it doesn't have a fancy case like that one and all.

But gotcha. Idk if you could fit that many LEDs in there..maybe..really just getting a nice gauge ain't bad.

the national luma monitor really isn't THAT big. Have seen some great installs of it too in 2nd gens.

LED's can be small! Think about LED TV's. Or your gauge cluster. Or the keypads on cellphones.

I just got mine today, and it is about the size of the palm of my hand. Since it is not round, it actually takes up LESS space than a traditional 500 AMP solenoid. I am replacing the Stinger 500 AMP curently n my install
