I had Dish Network when I had my condo in Brick. There wasn't really anything blocking it's signal cause I was on the second floor so it was mounted to my balcony railing. Anytime we had a decent amount of wind (I'd say like 2 nights a month), the signal was very sketchy. For me, I was ok with it as I'm not addicted to tv. Jen couldn't stand it, so when we bought this house I knew it wasn't going to be an option.

On another note, some of you were right. When I called Comcast and told them to turn off the service to my house (after Fios was connected), all of a sudden, they wanted to talk price. The usual customer service rep transferred me to a cancellation department and the guy kept asking if there was anything he could do. I told him they had two chances and now it was too late. At that point, he offered me the promo rate. So anyone with high Comcast bill, give it a shot, but you have to be willing to actually tell them to cancel. They will ask when to cancel and if you aren't ready to, you can pick a date two weeks out. Since my new service was already running, I did it immediately.

lol. At least he's not talking about the vaseline anymore. When he started talking about it a week before the camping trip, I had to go put a lock on my truck cap so he couldn't climb in when I was sleeping. :D

Comcast sucks Mike. I typically cancel and take all their shit back to them. Within a week or two I usually get a call from them offering a lower price.

I've had Comcast for about 8-9 years own my own and my parents had it long before I moved on my own.... I've always been able to reset my offers...
I actually love their services thus far...
I'm hoping to bundle their security system when my ADT contract expire

I'm a fan of dish network only cuts out if we get very heavy rain or snow piles up on the dish.
However our only options are dish or direct TV so we are stuck with it no matter the price

You guys have Cox Communications in your area. They're better than Comcast. I've been wanting to try Fios. All I have is Internet, I don't watch enough TV to pay a lot for cable.

Snowing great here. I'm covered in five minutes and my tracks disappear in twenty.
