I almost vomited just reading this. Just my opinion, but I think the Avalanche is one of the ugliest vehicles ever produced.....right up there with the Aztek and Honda Ridgeline. But hey....each to his own.

f150. Towed my taco with one twice and pulled trailers across the country as well. Good truck... I actually own one now. Raptor was a fun truck but not worth the money

^What's the largest tire you can fit on that thing without trimming?

Ford has a fix for the intercooler already. They just had to make the intercooler "less effective" so atmospheric moisture didn't condense.

As might be expected, the Ecoboost tows noticeably better than the 5.0 at higher elevations.

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
I own or have owned all three brands of diesels in one ton trucks. They all have positives and negatives.
Can't beat Cummings motors, by far the closest thing you can own that feels like a full on semi truck, if you're really going to haul a gooseneck or fifth wheel, these motors have the most torque, and if you buy four wheel drive, they have a real one ton front axle. Weak points are death wobble front end vibration, is easily fixed, but terrifying when it happens, and auto trannys are known to get abused from so much torque.
Duramax's are like diesel race trucks, huge horsepower, not so much on the bottom end, but they feel like a race truck if you get it on, unbelievable in how fast they can get going. Allison trannys are the best heavy duty automatic. The others don't even compare really. Worst thing about these trucks is the independent front suspension is more like a half ton than one ton, it rides smooth like a Cadillac, but if you're in off road situations while towing, the front end is the weak link.
The Fords have had many configurations of powerstrokes, 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, 6.8, I only have expierience with the 7.3. Great torque, nothing close to Cummings or duramax, but reliable and strong enough for the smaller fifth wheels. Rock solid chassis, heavy duty front end, known tranny issues.
Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with a Dodge Cummings for pulling, even though right now I'm using a 2005 chevy duramax, and I have no complaints.
