2014 Formula 1 Season Paddock

From the sounds of that article 2014 could be down to more of a driver's year than aerodynamics?

I guess we'll find out if Vettel is really a good driver or a driver in a really good car?

It would be nice to see more guys fighting it out til the end next year.

 

I read an interesting article featuring Jenson Button and he said the biggest difference will be coming to terms with the low end torque of the turbocharged powerplant because the current V8's essentially have no torque

 

He means the low-end being in the 10-12k rpm range right? Right off idle...

Gonna be a fun off season watching all the drama go down.

Ferrari is going to have a battle on their hands with Kimi and Alonso.

I hope Riccardo fights Vettel every step of the way on track.

Hopefully Hulkenburg can do good things at SFI.

Lotus is going to be bonkers with Maldonado (don't particularly like the guy) and Grosjean (who showed a great deal of improvement this year).

Thus are my thoughts on 2014 so far.

 

I too do not care for Maldonado but do hope Romain does well for himself. I'm pulling for the Hulk and hope he has a top 5 season.

If pole positions don't count for points toward the championship, they missed an opportunity. The double point last race is stupid as hell imho. Red Bull still would have romped off with the double championship.

Exactly, I would have like to see a point or a few points awarded for pole position. Double points in Abu 'Double' is the dumbest idea. Probably a thought senile Bernie had while stuck at the revolving door earlier...

That being said, awarding pole position points doesn't seem to be exactly popular on F1 forums either.

 

what's next, a 'lucky dog' rule for the backmarkers like in nascar LOL

 

They have to change the lap car restart procedure too
