I try not to tailgate folks. I drive on 99 (at rush hour, with a million dipshits) don't want to test my bumper on one of 'em.

I was never conscious that I was a tailgater until I had a girl in the truck with me a year ago.. Definitely been much more aware of it now.

I usually drive the speed limit, anyways. Nothing frustrates me more than watching dipshits tailgating each other.. The stretch where it funnels down to 2 lanes just south of Bellingham is notorious for that.

Especially if you have a front plate bumper.. 3/16" plate steel isn't known to crumple in an impact. Funny, my rear bumper does very little to deter tailgaters..

I've found that it's mostly the Canadians up by me.

I hate that stretch right by Alger. Drops from 70 to 60, and people still want to go 80 around the s-curves

Posting here as well for input:

I'm thinking about getting some CoverKing seat covers from Costco. They have the Veloci-Vent ones on-sale for $189 Front & Back. I know Mike has the Neoprene, but I'm leaning towards the sport mesh to avoid swamp-ass. They breathe better than neoprene, and still offer some protection, mainly against dirt/mud/grease/oil and they're machine washable.

    http://www.costco.com/.product.11618905.html

The Veloci-Vent seem like the same material my Sport seats have. Plus, Costco has a badass return policy, so if I hate them or they do not hold-up well, I can just return them.

Thoughts? Opinions? The sale is only good until 12/11.

Had those for 4 years on mine. Fit great. Good wear. loved them and wish I had bought another pair instead of switching to wet okoles.

Sweet, thanks Troy. Did you have the VelociVent or the Neoprene? I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on them today.

    the vent ones
I am sure they would have lasted longer if I hadn't taken them off and washed them so much (I got black and tan and the tan stained easy).
If I were getting some today I would get black ones and scotch guard them and call it good.
... I had a picture... let me see...

I was thinking the same thing. Black and Gray would look nice, for a bit. I know that Gray is prone to discoloring pretty quickly, and would be more noticeable for stains.

Milepost 243 roughly. Those scurves just north of there are where the nasty police like to hide with radars on. I made the drive through there for the better part of a year for work.

While I have had interest in them, I have greater interest in my new gun that cost a whole lot more money. I haven't gone after them.

Just like zach, I had some interested but have been spending way too much lately. If they were 3/4" Boras, then that would be a different story lol

I don't get what people's big deal with speeding is. What's the point? Why do you think that it's such a good idea? Whee, you'll get there 1 minute before me, stress yourself out, and burn down more gas.
Conversely, if you are going to drive slow, do it in the right lane. If someone is behind you and you have opportunity to move right, you need to get ticketed.

I've been stuck in Sacramento traffic. It may say 80, but I see you parked for the next hour :D
    In reality, though:
-California has long stretches of road with no turns and slight amounts of inclement weather. PNW has shorter stretches of road with hills, turns, bridges, and lots of inclement weather. Mileage is set at the average safe limit considering the conditions.
    - Washingtonians are high all the time and have no sense of time. Portlanders drive angry and want to control a lane.

The only place where I've felt the speed limit is set too low is HWY 97 between Chiloquin and HWY 58. It's flat, 2 lane, with flat dirt on the sides, and 55 MPH. I could just about drive off the road and still be safe

For me, I drive to get where I am going. When my commute for work is 100+ miles round trip, chances are that I will be going 70-75 mph in a 60 zone where I safely can. In my work van, fuel economy is not really considered because it is expected to be low. Best I have hit is about 12 mpg, but I typically pull about 11-11.5. Just this morning on my way to work, I was cut off by a minivan while I was in the left lane. I had to slow down to 55 in a 60 zone where most of the other people around were going 65. That is a ticket able offense for impeding the flow of traffic, but cops around here don't give tickets for that just like they don't give tickets for having a trailer in the left lane.

    On another note,
Who here drives a silver second gen, ARB front bumper, looks like Brute Force Fab rear bumper, access cab, V6, with cascadia RTT, aluminum aftermarket UCAs? I am working at Amazon next to Lowes between MLK way and Rainier Ave just south of i90. I want to steal a lot of the pieces and parts from this truck and put them on mine.

I just think it's interesting to step back and think about how any other context is vastly frowned upon.
"I will shoplift in a store where I safely can get away with it and I'm not harming others"
"I will run around outside without pants where I can get away with it"
"I should be allowed to rape because I'm better at it than other people"

really though, you are saving yourself about 10 -15 minutes on a 100 mile commute IF your constant speed is 75. Most likely you are going to end up 5 minutes early tops. I used to speed a bit when I was younger, and when someone put that into perspective for me that you really have to be on the gas, and that conditions have to be really good - man, it's just worth kicking back.
