I hear the flowmasters sound good in these trucks :notsure: but if you want my honest opinion, keep the stock exhaust. You gotta remember, it's a 4 cyl not a v8! It's not going to give off a big burly mean note, no matter what you put on it. My v6 has a glasspack, and that's about as loud as I'd ever want it!

IMHO, I think it's way too much work & money to make a 4 cyl engine sound good. With that being said, if you REALLY want something louder & deeper, I would go on YouTube and see what people are doing with the same engine you've got. Usually they say what they have, and you can go out and do the same. Do whatever makes you happy though :) Good luck!

Built for maximum low end torque, tooter II.VII intake manifold spacer, LCE long tube header, Injen long tube intake, 2,900 rpm torque peak.

Exhaust sound is nice... but if you want to retain your low end torque, I'd suggest keeping the stock muffler and pipes. The 2.7 exhaust uses the same size tubing as the 4.0, so it's already pretty free flowing just as it is. Reducing the backpressure might get you some more top end horsepower, but it will come at the cost of less low end torque.

If you want really cool sound coming from under your hood instead of your exhaust, put on LCE long tube headers and an Injen intake.

I have a 4.0 v6, so it might not be the same, but I installed a flowmaster 50 muffler and its much deeper than stock. Not raspy either.

    Won't ever sound like a V8 though :(
