    My ex gf had me get tires for her 4runner, she had just avg all weathers on there, well I put on some cooper discovers and a size larger and paid the difference. She wasn't too happy, probably why we aren't together anymore :D

    Travis - you could by a runner in that condition outright for $1,600. I bet your bike is worth more than that. Also, the 3.0 is a dog and is famous for leaks. It's nicknamed the 3.slow for very good reasons. Probably the least desirable engine in a yota to build a crawler with.

    Travis, number 1 is your wife. What she says goes. That doesn't mean that her mind wont change, just means that you have to not go against her until her guard is let down a little. Keep prodding. Keep telling her about the fun of the build and the fun of the trail rides. Keep leaving out offroad magazines for her to see you've been reading. Print off some detail build items along with an add for a welder. Eventually she will get that its what you really want and let her guard down. She might not say yes but she will eventually say maybe. Then jump on the chance. She will complain and give you crap for going the route you want but it wont be as bad as when she said no.
