Made one a couple weeks ago but couldn't get it to run for shit with a pot on top. Not sure if it was the fuel (only 70% iso) or not enough air flow.

That's what I was figuring. Cool idea but I'm gonna stick with my MSR Pocket Rocket.

And I'm might just find a little stand up grate to pi the pot on.. But when I tired it it worked fine. But I really made sure to make the top dents pretty good and deep

Thanks for all the kind comments. I had considered making a run of them, but I'm just a hobbyist and I doubt anyone would want to pay $1000 for one! Making one yourself is the fun part!

In the spirit of the forum though, I would happily share my design for anyone that wants to embark on building one themselves. It's really a simple design when you think about it, and execution was the tough part. Making a box that's actually square is a challenge! The dado saw for joining, and table saw were both crucial in keeping everything true. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I don't really have blueprints per se. I drew a sketch on a piece of notebook paper that shows general dimensions and parts. I can dig it out of the garage and scan it.

I made a pot stand out of really stiff wire I had and it burned great, boiled water in no time.

^I ran across the a few years ago. I ended up making taking the the stove with the bottom of two soda cans. Instead of flaring the inner for the "jets" I poked holes around the base of my "lid". This made the flames go straight up and allowed me to pick the diameter of my burner.

ya I'll prob find a tiny grill to set over the top and get a bigger pot. That was just a metal canteen I had from when I did my arctic survival school. But thanks for the input. It till heats up really good tho. And I made it out of everything I had lying around so I'm not to mad about how it turned out

I haven't used it yet but When I set it up in the living room it was quick and more space then I thought. I'm short and skinny (5'4" 130lb) so I fit with a ton of room and can even sit on my butt and not hit my head. It will be perfect if I take a lady friend with me. Scored it on Cyber Monday through Sports Chalet for $100 and then got the Lights for $20 each and the Head lamp for $15.
