anythin lifted 5 or more i think the long bed looks real good! But for 0-3in lift i prefer the short bed.

I like my long bed, because traditionally truck beds have been longer than truck hoods. In the case of the short bed's side profile the hood and bed appear to be the same length giving it a "see saw" look (it's even on both sides)

I'm 6' 3", My DC Short Bed is 60" (5') with the tail gate up (closed). My Sportz III Truck tent fits me and my girlfriend VERY comfortably with the tailgate down (open)... Dunno where you are getting 4', but you should try it before you knock it :)

i thought the bed is four feet?
well i has a campershell on mine and idk i want it to be colosed but excuse me if i was sounding like i was hating i guess looks retarded and seems pointless were the wrong choice of words:)

im just a longerbed kinda guy
no worries though all tacos look good:)

    EDIT:
well actually now that i think about it, it depends on what you have... your truck with longbed would look weird but razoreckos truck looks sick with longbed so ya haha... i have an access cab so i really have no choice in the matter for my truck :)

long bed all day long. probably won't do much off-roading, which i see as a use for the short bed. will use this pyrite beauty for mostly highway driving. and towing the old fish getter. chose the long bed for the extra 13" to smooth out the ride.

long bed for the long haul.

Great looking truck!!! I have the DC/LB too and Icons and AAL are in the works. I already have my KMC Enduro's just trying to figure out what tires and what size to get. How much trimming did you have to do with those 285's? Do you like the duratracs? Are you running spacers with the TRD wheels?

Long bed!! Helps with the plow and for towing! Kind of looks proportional to the cab of a double cab!You know a long bed should be 8' ! Sean

I prefer the long beds, 1 for more utility like putting in dirt bikes and what not and 2, they just look better once they're lifted with bigger tires put on them. I just think that short beds with lifts and big tires look to short and stubby

I like the short bed far as looks. I don't really have a use for the long bed so ya.

i'm getting just a little bit of rub in the front but thats because the co's are too low. I also have tc uca's though so i know that helps alot. So far the duratrac's are AWESOME - quiet on the highway and yesterday in a bad rainstorm they performed flawlessly in the rain and going high speed over puddles. That and since they are rated as winter tires also ( snowflake symbol ) they would seem to be one of if not the best a/t tire around.

I prefer short beds just looks wise. I only use my bed for its intended use a few times a year and I get by ok with having the shortbed.

I read many of the posts here. I got a 09 DC long bed. I thought the DC with a 5' box looked out of proportion ( almost silly). Another reason I went with a 6' bed is with my tool box installed behind the cab (low profile), that would have left me with less that a 4' box.... what good is that? As far as driving and handling the longer wheel base, it takes some getting use to but so far, no regrets.

Just purchased a Dbl cab LB V6 4wd. I had an F250 with an 8' bed. I am going to have to adjust dropping down to a 6' bed. 6' is borderline, 5' is unusable.

short bed looks un-proportional to me, but I still can't park the long bed very good! of course, my other vehicle is a miata, and it can do a u-turn on a two lane road without touching dirt.

look what i think is the short beds look better and their more functional in crawling. i got a long bed it doesnt look too bad, and the 6 foot bed is so nice for well everything, and its also more functional prerunning

    this is just my opinion
