Hello all, Just wanted to share mod I did this past week. I painted my chromed plastic grill gloss black with Krylon. I sanded the grill with 320 grit until the grill had no luster anymore. Then, cleaned with thinner or turpentine and sprayed about 4 coats of krylon. Waited about 10-15 minutes between coats. Came out pretty good. I'm very happy with it. Best to everyone this holiday season.

Ah, gotcha. I might have purchased 255/85/16 duratracs if they were available. Too late now anyways, I bought 33x12.5x15 and I'm loving them.

Replaced my completely shot actuator with a working one and finally have a locked rear for the first time since I owned it!

 

I know that feel man. I have the same mileage on mine too.

 

what was the squeal like? I recently began to hear this on mine, it starts at around 15mph. It is not very load at all but its high pitch so it stands out. what did you do to correct it and how were you sure it was the carrier bearing?

It was like a bird chirp that got faster with higher rpms. And I said i greased the carrier bearing and it stopped squealing so im 100% positive my squealing was the carrier bearing lol. If you want to hear what it sounds like get on YouTube

Got these vinyls in last night from Adub4real. Very reasonably priced, and he is super easy to work with!

 

What are these??

 

They are the positive and negative leads for a canopy brake light. Add a

$6 Allstar Performance ALL76232 Universal Two Wire Connector with 12" Loop

Quick Disconnect to both sides when you put a canopy on.

 

Wires.



Where do they go to? Are they tied into your tail light? If so, it went to a topper's third brake light.

They could also have been for a topper's dome light if one of those wires runs to your battery and another is a ground.

 

Ah I see... So probably cant convert them into an outlet plug?

Not too likely, no.

But...they actually could be as Madjik pointed out. Put a voltmeter to it and see if there is +12v (or -12v if you have your leads backwards ).

Or pull that tail light and see if they go to the brake light wires.

Maybe...maybe not. It may have just been pre-wired.

 

I don't think so (I'd run heavier wire to the battery if you want a 12v plug)
