Then people would bitch that the show is moving too slow right?

 

I stopped watching the show 3 to 4 weeks ago. It was starting to resemble my wifes soap operas. All the focus was on bitches & their drama....Tara, Gemma, the ex wife, the female DA.....what a disappointment.

 

I think you are watching a different show then, because it seems evenly split between the issues of the two mothers, and the club problems with Clay (which is a moot point now) and the Irish, as well as the DA. At least to me it does. Nothing at all like a soap.

 

In the beginning Tara might of had 5 to 10% of the story line....but Gemmas was higher. But the show still focused probably 80%+ on the club....guns, violence, bikes, etc. Now it's completely different.....I think Sutter is trying to pull in the female viewers.


Breaking Bad headed down this road for a bit also.....drama with the wife & sister-in-law. But the writers kept it to a minimum. SOA seems to be growing the female story lines.

 

Gemma is not the Pres' old lady any more, so from a club stand point, she will have less time. Tara is, thats why we are seeing more of her.

You sound like one of the guys in the walking dead thread that thinks the whole shows should be about killing zombies. It's not realistic and therefore harder for people to relate. Kurt has to build the characters, show us why they are doing the things they are doing. It makes us love or hate (or both) them even more and more. It puts a real world spin on it, something we can relate too.

I am not saying we all have that level of drama in our lives, but then again, I don't think most of us run guns and drugs for a living.

The show that I would agree with you that "went down that road" was the Unit. They tried to get the female viewers and ended up running all the viewers off. BB and SAMCRO are just "keeping it real!"

 

Nah....But I was pleasantly surprised to see them finish off that pussy they called the Governor. Too bad Rick didn't do it before Herschel lost his head.

It comes on at 9 here, but I have DVR set so I can watch it as it plays, or watch something else then watch this later.....not saying that I have anything else I might want to watch.....
