Changed all my interior lights to LED last night for $38. Tried a couple wedge style LEDs at work and they all sucked. Then found a 12 led square with adapter to a wedge bulb and stuck that in the dome light, followed by 2 168/194/2825s LEDs in the map lights.

I feel like I have a fluorescent light bar on the roof of my cab lol

FWIW i really like satin. Painted my sliders satin, matched my LED roof bar, and i just like a little gloss. I may paint my high beam reflector gloss black so the halogens will still work

Rethinking silicone for the halos. Supposedly it can "gas out" and cause fogginess on the inside of the headlight. I don't know if 3 drops of it would affect it, but anyone on this?

I used some duplicolor self-etching primer.
Hmm, I was thinking about using a couple of drops of silicone as well. I've seen parts in headlights attached with silicone before, so I wouldn't think it would be too much of an issue. Wouldn't JB Weld do the same thing?
I was thinking about doing that, but mine is too noticeable. So I plan to use both fishing line and a few drops of silicone.

You can use silicone you just need to give it a few days to cure.

Just epoxy them on and use wire too and you're good to go :p

This ^^ I asked on HIDP. I know that seeing the wire will bother me and I don't want to drill holes. Silicone is like epoxy... but reversible if I decide to sell the truck ever and want the halos back. Those things aren't cheap!

Once the wires are installed, you will barely notice them.

    Wire > Epoxy > Silicone (don't recommend...)

Also epoxy or silicone will eat away at any of your paint that is solvent based (spray paint) FYI

Interesting. How can I tell if my paint is solvent based?

The only thing that worries me is if I use fishing line could it melt? I have some thing metal wire I could use but would prefer not to.

Most spray paint is solvent based. If you're using any typical paints from Rustoleum, Duplicolor, etc, you're using a solvent based paint.

I still recommend using wire over anything else. Just my 2 cents.

    Agreed.

    Wire the halos on

and don't worry about the wires on the TRS ones. They won't look bad.

Behind my shrouds you can see the epoxy I used to hold the projectors in. You have to be looking for it to see it. I don't care. They look good to a normal person not inspecting for flaws, beams are perfectly level and light output is awesome
