I got my TundraPart.com switches today. These are the ones that fit into the small blanks under the AC controls. They are NOT OEM quality, and in fact feel pretty cheap. However, they will fit and I doubt I'll notice much of a quality issue once installed.

Also, the backlight is not green as shown in previously posted pictures or the TundraPart website - it's red. This was not what I ordered, but I actually like it as they will be used for off-road lights and will provide a good visual reminder that something important is turned on.

They came with pre-wired connectors, but I didn't like the way they were set up. If you use them as wired, the backlight will always be on when power is going to the switch. In my case I plan to use a keyed 12V source, so these two little red switches would light up whenever the truck was running. Since I only want them to light up when I turn on the off-road lights , I cut up the provided harness. If you do what I show below, they will only light up when in the on (or depressed) position.

I bought some small green LEDs and replaced one of the orange/red LEDs with the green one. I wired the switches so that the orange/red lights up with the dash lights and the green one comes on when the switch is in the ON position.

Well, if KNINE00 starts building them again, these overhead consoles are pretty sweet. He is on active duty now so not sure when/if he will start building/selling them again. Here is the thread (for some reason I cannot make hyperlinks on TW all of the sudden):

The sunglasses holder and te whole upper console thing is super flimsy. Rattles the whole roof when you close the sunglasses holder. Pressing the switches would probably feel loose and weak too.

Stupid sport. All those factory switches beside the wheel.

Yeah, my upper consol is solid. It doesnt shake or rattle at all and there is no free/loose play in the switches. Not too sure whats wrong with yours. Maybe your missing the metal clips that hold it up :notsure: its almost $200 worth of switches and wiring... id rip it all out if it wasnt solid lol

So I have my switches and the LED light bar is comming. Now it's time to wire it up. Where is a good place to pass the wires through the firewall? Are there any factory holes that can be used?

My switches are in the "flimsy plastic" useless sunglasses holder and they are rock solid. I also don't have to worry about spilling stuff on them or bumping them ON. But,.... different strokes for different folks. :D
