They finally put up a sign after years of people blindly following their GPS into deep snow for miles and miles up MET.

But they could have just put up one of these:

    Thanks! :)

It was a beautiful day up there. I wish I would have taken more pics but I was more concentrated on getting my friend's truck out. My friend said he took some pictures during the recovery(s)(my truck did get stuck at one point). I'll post some of his pictures once I get them.

I learned some things so the trip was a win win for both my friend (stuck truck guy) and myself.

    1. I need to get my winch fully installed. This would have helped a lot.

    2. I really should get snow chains for my truck.

    3. No rear locker can really suck at times.

    4. Duratracs did pretty damn awesome in 1.5'-2.5' of snow.

So do you have a receiver mount winch, or what? If so, how would a permanent mounting have been helpful? Inquiring minds want to know. :)

Maybe I should clarify a little bit.

The mount for my winch is inside my front bumper. If you look at that picture I posted above you can see the fairlead on my front bumper.

I have the winch body installed in my front bumper but haven't found a good spot to mount the solenoid (control box) yet. That is why I say mounted but not wired.

Are you mounting it so that you can hook the wired remote to it? Or are you mounting it somewhere hidden, and then use the wireless remote?

    Welcome to NorCal! Where abouts?

Ah. Yeah, I could see where that'd be a pain when you went to use it.
