Does anyone make kit to raise the seats up. Just an inch could make a noticeable difference.

I wonder if anyone on here might know if the FJC seat matches up with the Taco hardware. I loved that seat. The steering column might not go up high enough though as you noted the low seating position. Man, I'm bummed. I wanted a Tacoma before I bought the FJC in '08.

You're the only one responding positively. If I hit the wrong button, it was truly a mistake. I intended to hit the positive button.

If what I said came off bad I just meant if your seat is uncomfortable get a recaro or some other after market seat or try a pillow

No, you didn't. I forgot new posters can only leave neutral rep not positive. In the old days we had actual negative rep, I also forgot that was gone. So, at this point the whole rep thing is pretty useless.

OZ-T, have you had anything to say relating to the OP? Whether or not you read that as "original post" or "original poster", I see no difference. What was the point of any of your comments? Did you bring anything to this thread? Do you need a hug? A cookie? A new set of "Truck Nuts" (I run 1/2-13)? Are you a God?

    Lot's of seat threads lately.

The TRD and SR5 seats are different. The seats in my TRD were a huge selling point, I think they're very comfortable.

This is my hips. I feel like the seat is too concave? I'm trying to see if I can find some old hardware from my FJC seats. If it's not too tall for the Taco column, that might be an answer.

You're not alone. Even though there are many on here who say we're dumb for not liking these TRD seats, it is what it is. Honestly the most uncomfortable seats I've ever had, and this is my 4th 4x4 Toyota and I've also had several Wranglers. However, I love this truck and I'm always looking for ways to increase my overall comfort. My 2012 has a horizontal bar down low in the back where my tailbone kept hitting. I found a great auto upholstery shop who was able to put extra padding to lift me up and to also help cover that metal bar behind my tailbone (part of the active restraint system I later found out). While not perfect, it has helped a lot. Another thing that has helped a surprising amount, removing my wallet. Can't explain it, but it also makes a big difference. The only thing I can't fix, the pedals and floorboard are too close to the seat compared to the steering wheel. Even with the steering column fully extended, I still have to cram my legs under the dash to reach the steering wheel comfortably. But I love this truck so I'm dealing with it. Please save the flaming, I'm not complaining and don't need the crap frankly. OP, good luck with your decision. Don't give up too soon, there are work arounds to help you be more comfortable. Good luck.

You're right, the seat was great! I'm thinking it wore me out over time.
