    Yep. Mine is an outdoor wood furnace nonpressurized boiler type. Circulates hot water into a heat exchanger (like a radiator) that was spliced into existing plenum. Hardy wood stove is 8 years old now and love it.

    I should probably be more clear...I am looking to tye a wood furnace with duct work and thermostat, blower into just central air ductwork. I want to use the ductwork without running seperate ductwork.

    I looked into outdoor...but I think I have a diff way,...this would not be radiant heat.

    Well presumably if there is a wood fired furnace intended to supply hot air for a forced air system , the air supply system would most likely be like any other system

    Surely you would need a certified installer

    This is on my personal house....there are people doing it on you tube, but I would rather know any risks. Cabon monoxide and risks like that.

    Well , there would definitely be some code issues / requirements and I don't know how it works in your area but here any combustion appliance needs to be installed by a certified installer , add to that you would most likely want an HVAC guy to layout / size / balance your air handling system

    Why not just do an efficient woodstove and an air circulation system like an HRV ?

    and why not radiant ?

    Are you more so trying to circulate the heat generated by the woodstove through the duct work? I don't see that being an issue, you just need to direct all the heat into the main plenum using fans, etc. Others just use the main furnace blower to circulate heat from one room to another (using the return vent).

    I wouldn't tie the duct work to the exhaust vent (chimney)!!!! That's a disaster waiting to happen

    Thats what I am doing...I am using the existing ductwork and this is a wood furnace which has ductwork,heat collectors,thermostat like a regular funace, into the same ductwork as a "air conditioner" only system.
