I'm not scared, I don't think he's any better than Mullen. Outside of that recruiting class, he hasn't done more than Mullen. Freeze is 1 out of 2 in Egg Bowl games and has gone 14-11 up to this point. Mullen went 14-11 through 2 years and won his first 2 Egg Bowls. I would love to see Ole Miss be put back another year or two by losing him though.

Just saw that UGA is plannin to add 10k seats to Sanford to get it up to 102k. Gonna add a 3rd level in the East endzone.

Speaking of the arms race that is SEC football stadiums, how long until Auburn builds up their stadium?

It now holds 87,451. The last I heard there was some studies about expansion, the conclusion was they were going to add additional luxury boxes and suites, not additional general seating. Claiming there was more money to be made in that direction. I hope they don't pull a Tennessee trick and just repaint the numbers adding to overall capacity.

 

Alabama coach Nick Saban has had a contract extension on his desk since Friday, and the longer it goes unsigned, the more uncomfortable Alabama officials grow.

 

ERMAHGERD you guys Saban is going to texas they're going to give him $200 million and name the stadium and the mascot after him I can't believe he's going to leave Alabama why would anybody leave Alabama ever?

I imagine she'll sue him at some point. She has until December 2016, and he should be a millionaire by then. At that point, he'd be wise to settle, and she'll have $1m or whatever more than she had before.

The standard of proof is much lower in a civil trial. He won't want a trial where the "preponderance of evidence" is the standard rather than "beyond a reasonable doubt."

I don't know her motivation or what happened, but she'll get paid in the end.

You forgot that Austin will change the city name to "Sabanville" and all the street names will be renamed to "Saban-something". His wife will become the new Governor of Texas, and all football players will have to sign an oath of allegiance to Nick Saban akin to what the North Korean military does to their Fearless Glorious SuperDuper Leader Kim Il Un Jong Pi Song Dil Poop.

Shit no. She feels like she was robbed of justice (I'm not debating if it ever happened or why she didn't come forward sooner or any of that) so she's going to make damn well sure that Winston is denied the Heisman, and that IF he's awarded the Heisman, the NCAA is going to face a public backlash for awarding the most coveted award in NCAA Football to a rapist (in her eyes).

 

Yeah... I think it's dangerous to just assume every woman who accuses an athlete of assault is lying. Maybe she is, but these guys aren't gods or infallible. They've just been treated as gods their whole lives.

 

The only question now is who is gonna replace saban? Layne Kiffin?
