    1. You may notice your truck doesn't start on 1st try - its ok

    2. There may also be some white smoke coming out tail pipe - normal

    3. The heater may not produce heat right away - give it some time

    4. The engine might rev a little higher at first - she knows what she's doing

    5. If the windows are iced over, dont try and force them by holding button

    6. If the truck starts sliding around the street - Engage the 4WD if available before you crash

    7. GO SLOW

:)The good news is your seats may seem firmer untill your butt warms them up !!!

I hope this helps those who currently getting that unusal winter

for those who have VSC and all the nannies, i noticed if you push the traction control button once, and turn the auto lsd on, you get better traction in the snow in 2wd... imagine that.

A little light hearted welcome to those not used to the white stuff.

after seeing all these posts about new found cold, ice, and snow

The norm for us seems funny when questioned by those not used to it.

note: your best friend is the remote starter!

Here in SoCal it got down to 52 degrees tonight. I'm not sure what to do.

52 degrees, oh that is terrible

Maybe we can find some other Tacoma owners in your area to, come over and help you cover your truck up with some blankets.

ya at 52 you will want to find some kind tarp or what ever and put over the grill to block some of the air, like you see on big rigs sometimes.. oh and a block heater, battery blanket, blanket around the whole engine bay and cab. oh don’t forget to put some kinda light(portable shop lights work good) by all 4 wheels so the brakes done lock up, may want to put one on the trans as well.
