This stinks.Had a rock chip in my window for a while now and where I live the temp got down in the teens. On the way to work this morning the windshield wasnt even frozen over but by the time I got to work I had a crack across the entire windshield.Lucky its near the bottom and not in my line of sight.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Call Safelite and ask if you can schedule your truck for an employee glass installation training class and get it replaced for FREE!

Insurance screwed me on coverage n have to replace out of pocket.Near 200 to replace and my deductible is more than that.

A little late now , but use a hair dryer to dry up the water thats in the crack , then grab some clear nail polish to fill the void until you can get it repaired .
Water expands when it gets chilly outside causing the glass to break

I got the same thing couple weeks ago, buddy's tsl's kicked a rock at me. Had the heat on in the truck and half hour later crack almost all the way across. 3rd windshield over couple years. $200 is cheap

I got a chip that went into a crack within 24 hours. 48 Hours after I drove my truck off the lot. I haven't replaced yet. Not sure when I'm going to do. $450.00(can) for a new window installed isn't that bad.

Didn't you choose your own coverage and deductible?

$200? Schedule that immediately, sounds like a mistake to me. Was $400 when I had it done on my Gen 1 about 6 years ago.

243 after tax mobile windshield repair.Oem glass installed in about 40 min.Looks perfect. As far as insurance goes I added glass replacement ins.through my carrier and someone dropped the ball and never added it.I could of contested it but I would have to pay the deductible first and hard to prove, the glass is cheaper than my deductible.

Mine cost less than $200.00 6 months ago. It was a little cheaper due to the fact they were able to use the same molding.

They cut out the molding when installing and used the molding of the Tacoma double cabs that is what I am told is superior to what came on the base 5lug reg cab.

Apparently the reg cab has molding that pushes water to the sides while the double cabs molding pushes water up and over the roof.
