Shaving a 60 to stock taco width!? wtf? That's absolutely retarded. Do it and then post a pic when you roll it on your first "outing". Maybe the guys at 4wp would recommend it though...

Here's my buddy who just finished his build last week with a 62" WMS 44 with 5" springs up front and bronco wild horse in the rear, 4.5" bs wheels. Way too tall and way too skinny.

This was a couple days ago.

We were cruising through some back trails and a corner crept up on him… hit the ditch and it popped him over at around 30mph.

Shitlbuffout. He's gonna chop it and get a cage in there. The pillars are good. It's the roof and windshield that need to be addressed. Not sure of the exact plans yet.

But this is what happens when you're too tall and too narrow.

I kinda think if your on a snowy trail going 30, and you hit the ditch sideways your going over regardless of a few inches in width.... i guess that's just my opinion.

Nah you would need to be there and see the truck in person. There's no reason he should have rolled, even hitting that little ditch.

But prove me wrong and narrow your 60 to taco width and go for a 29" frame height :D

Honestly, every little bit counts/makes a difference with offroading rigs. That's not to say there is some leeway (also depends on how hard you wheel), but low COG IS pretty crucial. That's also why I'm going full width tons and beefing them up. Heavier unsprung mass and removing as much weight as reasonably possible up top.

Dude we arent comparing dick size here its more than a few inchs..

though i dont go fast off road since i put the 6 inch lift and 35's on my taco.. factory width with 23" of frame height im used to crawling this and when i go 42's and probably like 30" of frame height it should be comparable..

Should be the first stop for anyone going with a 60. Along with most other tech articles like that on pirate.

On another note, these Enduro joints are ridiculously easy to disassemble for maintenance. Extremely simple design and no tools other than a small allen wrench needed.:cool:

Your Waggy 44 is Taco width LOL Once you realize you should get it as wide as you can, you'll have 2.5" backspaced wheels which will kill ball joints fast and give you a horrible scrub radius. Trust me, I've been there with my last Tacoma and now I'm going to 1 tons and 5" backspaced wheels. Should only be a couple inches wider per side than my previous truck

Im not to worried about balljoints due to the fact that A: I am going to go D60 and B: im gonna run the same HD ball joints that i put on the 60 that holds up my Cummins (50% stronger than spicer) no fears here. Besides my girl and i just chose my bead lock.. Posion spider 17's they are 3.75 back spaced not to bad really..
