LOL this didnt happen to me, but i just read it over on customtacos.

Guy has helomax wheels and bfg all terrains. Takes it into XX store where he purchased them, and asks them to rotate the tires for him. they do, and he has a vibrate. takes it back, rebalance send him on the way. still vibrates.

Takes it back again, tech says "well, guess we could try switching out the lug nuts, maybe that will help with the vibration"

when i was looking for my taco years back, i found one in the autotrader. 2000 stepside, single cab prerunner. i call up the guy and ask if he still has it. he says yes. i drive like half an hour and when i get there he shows me a 2002 single cab, 5 lug, normal bed taco. :smack: i asked him if he was f*cking serious and walked away.

/as a current FJ owner I can assure you that it is not "waterproof". More like water resistant. There is that foam crap underneath the matting and the ensuing mold problem would be a nightmare.

I wish it was that way.

    Shopvac.

No drain plugs that I've seen, next time i pull the seats out for a cleaning I'll take pictures for everyone.

The flooring is awesome because I do not have to worry about staining any carpet and anything that does spill cleans up really well with a little simple green and a sponge and a small tub of water, add some 303 protectant and the flooring looks just like it left the lot.

I could right a book about the things I've been asked by salesmen, and things I've heard when standing in the sales office.

On a side note, I've heard things that I wish could unhear, from the finance department. Unless you ink the deal your self, you probably got ripped off.

Salesperson: "You know, Tacomas are actually assembled by Chevrolet."
    Me: Really?
Salesdick: "Oh yeah, they're really tough trucks."
Me: "Well, what I'm really looking for is the 4X4 Matrix, but I like this Prerunner right here."

I have never heard of GM assembling Tacomas under the GM brand name alone. But she may be talking about NUMMI or the joint venture with GM and Toyota at the same production plant. From what I've read it sounds like some GM people may do some assembly on Toyota's, and the other way around. Or maybe I'm wrong and I miss read it, but heres the link. http://www.nummi.com/home.php

Yeah, I knew about this. It just ticked me off because that guy used it as a sales pitch. It could really be misleading to the unknowing car shopper. Besides, He would have been more correct if he had said "GM," instead of "Chevy." The way it was said sounded like a persuasion to buy the tacoma because it was actually made by an American company. Silly:)

Yep that would had ticked me off a little bit too, if he had said that. And it wouldn't be much of a persuasion for me to buy a Tacoma if Chevy had made it. lol
