Welding courses through TNCC are no longer offered by the college but through their Workforce Development Program; little more involved and expensive application process.

Hey - here, this will fix your sig. Just copy and paste the text. Or Copy from my quote here. Most people know if they click a picture in a sig, it will take them to a build. Thats why i removed the 'build' - but it is your sig, do as you wish,

You figure that would be one of their more popular courses with the shipyard right around the corner!! Guess this generation doesn't want to do manual labor...rather ride a couch and collect a check!

I don't normally post crap like this, but I know a lot or most of us here love making OBX trips. Help the residents of Cape Hatteras get their new bridge that's been funded but put on hold because of environmental nazis so we can enjoy OBX.

This is especially important now that the aging Bonner Bridge has been shut down and undergoing emergency repairs due to safety concerns.

I'd rather learn the text book way first, always easier then correcting bad habits IMO.

I'm an engineer and specify and review weld procedures. I can quote weld design and the metallurgic processes, but I lay boogers with a torch, gun, or stick in my hand. Granted the metal will stay together but it is not pretty. There is something to be said about having a patient instructor hold your hand and guide you until you have the feel down pat. I have the guys who could do this for me but not the time or money to stop production aat work.
